Eastpointe police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying three males who were caught on videotape vandalizing an elementary school last week.
Police said images of the trio of vandals were captured by a video surveillance system at Pleasantview Elementary School at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21.
The school, which houses students in grades 3-5, is located at 16501 Toepfer Drive, east of Gratiot Avenue, part of the Eastpointe Community Schools district.
The vandals reportedly used a brick to destroy a window and also damaged an electrical box, or junction box, which includes wiring connections and circuits for the school building.
According to the video images, two of the vandals are black and one is white. One of the black vandals wore a medical face mask.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Detective Steve Chamberlain at 586-445-5100, ext. 1029.
